I thought it was time to return to the world of blogging.
We had our first band concert tonight at the Kalispell Mall. It was awful. But a necessary step in our continued progress as the New Horison's Senior Band. Gary plays the trumpet and I play flute. We had a great time but we were all so nervous that we made tons of mistakes. Things I thought were simple yesterday during practice became insurmountable tonight. But we have our first concert under our belt. Our next concert is Tuesday, December 21st at 7:00 PM at the Kalispell Christian Center. I am confident we will do better next time.

I've decided to write a book. Don't really know what the subject will be but 2011 will be the year to write. Maybe I will write about manners. It just bugs me when men don't take their hats off inside. Or maybe I will write an advice book for young mothers. Like the Bible says, the older should teach the younger and I am tired of watching young parents let their kids run the show. Or maybe I will write a devotional book and fill it with chicken stories. Or maybe I will write stories about the kids in the orphanage in Honduras.
Well, whatever the topic, it will never happen unless I get started. As Mahtma Ghandi said, "the journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step." (or something like that.)
